Coolant warning light
« on: 28 September 2008, 18:31 »
For some reason mine has started flashing, but only when I give it some serious beans in 2nd gear. Coolant level seems OK, I topped it up last night after it first flashed just to be on the safe side and it's still flashed again today. Is this a case of a dodgy connection or something more worrying? Car is a 90 spec 16v.

right, first next time it starts flashing bridge the connector on the top of the expansion tank

I just had similar on mine after the stat failed shut and it boiled up

the tank has a float in it, and mine was goosed, and only 5 months old.

bridged the wire, light goes out ,
