That Mk2 Vr6 van is Tony (or one of his employees) from Automotive Solutions for those that know him, and yeah he drives like a loon.

I was behind it, setting out on my third session.  Quicker than me, which I was pleased about due to the amount of smoke it was belching, intermittantly.  Last year it threw a wheel off just after the Esses.  The drainpipe exhaust on it really is comedy, as is the towbar, which is an odd addition for a 'performance car'.

Lol it's his work van! he the vr6 is in there because he can't stand going low!

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

The whole day I only saw one person have a slight wobble! I didn't want to see anyone wreck their car but a few spins and some missed esses would have been fun!

Nick

who had the wobble?? the one person i saw have a 'moment' was someone in a black MKIV heading into Quarry (i think)- right off the track onto the grass! Didn't see him go round again!!

A chap in a red MKII who went off a bit on the esses. I think he had brown pants as he went round a fair bit slower on the next lap. Gutted I didn't have the camera in hand when it happened.

Well that explains about the smoke - if it's a work van I guess it's been converted to run on diesel.

From my drivers seat I saw a guy in a very low Golf3 almost stuff it into the barriers at Quarry because he would. not. move. over. for me. Fine - I'll push you until you do, as although I may have the ride height of a boat, my car handles, has about the same power as you and more grip.

There was also the small matter of the Sport Quattro conversion - either there were big issues with the motor or the handling, as that should have gone striaght past me and then not run off into the in-field after Bobbies.

You see a lot more moments from in a car than you do on a bank, Nick .
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

I thought it was a conversion as it didn't look quite right. I am however not a Quattro head so I couldn't be sure.

Yeah I know and I would have loved to have taken the 'sat round but I couldn't afford it and the car would have died as it needs a bit of TLC at the moment. It's been a long time since I've been on track and I was having real withdrawal symptoms all day on saturday.

Shoulda asked for a pax session - I had a clear seat during all three sessions (which is unusual).

It was pretty easy to spot - the word 'Coupe', rather than 'Quattro' in the reflective strip across the arse gave me the hint it might not have been the full ticket.   I spoke to the guy afterwards and asked how much power it had - RS2 motor with 320bhp, allegedly, so I guess it simply didn't handle, or there was a serious talent deficit.

Was a brilliant day, good to see some of the mk4 section in force!

Got very sunburnt :(

That mk1 rocket was awsome, it was like a gocart on NOS

I saw 2 "offs" one Audi TT at the start line, nice 360

and the mk4 down the other end, again spun 180 but i think he broke something, as he was spinning i saw something drop down from the drivers side front wheel, kind looked like a drop link

i have lots of pics but not Nicks quality

Good day
Meh....
