Wheel Spacer Q
« on: 25 May 2008, 15:29 »
I mat be buying some new rims with an offset of 38. Whilst this is fine and dandy for my Mk2, I'd rather they filled the arches like my current Cups do at an offset of 28!
So I'll prob get a set of 10mm wheel spaces that will move the wheels out to ET28. Hoping this is correct!?!

BUT I aint paying £100 notes for a set of 4 aluminium disks! Does anyine know where they are sold cheap (hubcentric ones though don't like the sound of the universal type). Alternatlivley I'd be most gratefull If I could borrow a set (or even just one!) So that I can get them copied my my master machinist - I may then be able to get the knocked up cheaply to sell on to you folks

Cheers folks

Hubcentric ones arent cheap. End of. After bartering with a seller i managed to get the price down to £80 for a set of 4, any better then that you'd be looking at some second hand ones which are rare as rocking horse sh!t.

Have you thought of measuring relavent diameters and giving your engineer a drawing. This is what I have done in the past to get bits specially made.
