early G plate mk2's. What trim?

Do early G plate mk2's come with 90 spec door trims as standard? Ive seen a few big bumper models with large side trims and some with thin.

this is because in 1989 G plate was year they swaped onto 90 spec big bumper +electrics...Aug 1989 was last of small bumpers on old spec electrics...

so speaking no such a thing as 90 spec mk2's as its changed over in 1989...90 spec is just the last of the mk2's as vw where working on the mk3 being brought in..

personaly always preferd small bumper mk2's even though i drive a 1991 gti ....but moving house soon ..and plan to buy another small bumper valver ...and make current mk2 into a daily

I think he was asking why some big bumpers (usually '89) have the fat side trim.  I'm pretty sure it's people adding the bumpers in the 90s

Yeh they are easy to swap so it depends on the owners preference. I much prefer the small trim, wish i had it but then again, early 8vs are faster then the 90 spec ones so im told

do you mean k-jet being more responsive than digi? (ive heard this before)

or early digi being quicker than 90 spec digi?
