bloody bastard dealers,
« on: 12 May 2008, 15:51 »
I drove about 30 mile round trip today to try and exchange my water pump, only to find out that they won't change it as it has been longer than 3 months! Admittedly i should have fitted it sooner however it says nowhere on the receipt that there is a time limit and i can't see what difference it makes.

On top of that the parts assistant was rude. I wasn't very happy and felt like throwing the f'ing thing through the mark 5 r 32 window! Anyway do i have a leg to stand on otherwise i am going to speak to the manager and il just take 5 litres of oil for my trouble!
i must buy a new car!

went into halfords to take back the spray can they made me up that didn't work - it spat out paint everywhere. The little short man diseased manager offered me £5 back as I had used half the can!!!!! what a dog c**k..... in the end I had a massive argument with him in front of customers and he wouldn't budge so I went to walk out and another employee ran up to me and quickly refunded it at the till without him seeing!!!!! brilliant guy, always helps me when Im in there and walks round with me telling me what stuff is available on trade.....

some people get customer service, others don't unfortunately... the only way things change is to complain like I will be

I never normally have a problem with the people that work in Halfords, except for the managers. Every one i have dealt with is a right arrogant wayne kerr.

I did have a problem with the guy at the parts desk (in the Botley Road Halfords, Oxford) that told me if they do Bosch spark plugs for my car (mk2 golf) but not HT leads then my car doesn't have them.

I feel your pain!

Had an hour round journey to the vw dealer today to order some g60 top mounts

Got told it would be pointless putting "softer rubbers" onto a GTi and that he's seen it on those "ebays" before where they say parts are cross compatible but they don't tell you the amount of structural work they had to do to get the mounts to fit

what a load of toss innit, anyway im going back with a vengence, going to threaten the small claims court on them that should do the trick. I know its only 30 quid but its the principle. The dealer is Cumberland View in Morecambe of all places.
Its dmn annoying. But il sort it.

Another thing that pisses me off about them is whenever i go in i ask for something the parts guy has to go in the back and check for availability then comes back what seems like 5 minutes later,  il sometimes ask him for something else while i am there, THEN he goes back again for another 5 minutes, then he comes back and takes my card has to take my card into back office which must be the other end of the building it takes that long, then, he will come back with the f'in receipt i can't see why they don't have a till on the front desk, rant over. Im tired and sunburnt,

its always the managers not that there all like that but more than not are. There on a power trip, used to work at tesco's and really was bothering me. There on such an ego trip, and must be right because there a manager
