Windscreen demister/blower not working!

Hi all, my windscreen demister/blower setting doesn't seem to work yet the other settings (1 and 3) do. When I put the windscreen blower on you can hear it working but nothing is coming out of the vents at the bottom of the windscreen. Any ideas?

It will prob be to do with the cables/cogs etc. etc. that control the air direction flaps. Haynes has got a lot of details on this. If you're going to fix it yourself I would invest in a copy.
