Also interesting to see it on steels (which look great, btw) as I have read that the early cars all had standard alloys, which became a cost option on the three-door when the five-door was launched. The five-door always had alloys as standard.

Steels are not the original wheels. The above pic was taken when I took delivery of the car from the previous owner with the original P- Slots still fitted. The steels are on for the moment as one of the P-Slots tyres was bordering on Illegal. The wheels themselves are in very good condition but I was going to get them refurbished and fitted with Pirelli P6's. So until I decide what I'm doing with the car the steels have a full set of decent tyres on them and I actually prefer the car sitting on them.
