Hello first post for me, I have a F reg 8v GTI. My MFA works on everything except the average fuel consumption, and never has for the last 12 odd years. I thought maybe now was the time. The vacuum hose is secure. Is there a sender unit that could have failed or something behind the dash.

The vacuum hose may be secure, but does it have a small split any where?
