GOODYEAR EAGLE F1
« on: 11 April 2008, 16:36 »
225/40R18 92Y GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 GSD3 XL = £448.97 (x4 fully fitted)

or

225/40R18 92Y GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC XL = £473.25 (x4 fully fitted)

Ok so which ones shall I go for? I know that XL means Extra Load tyre with an increased load carrying capacity what ever that means! But what is the difference between GSD3 and ASYMMETRIC?

Also is that a good price for all 4 fully fitted?

Cheers,

Ryan

i got 4x goodyear eagle f1 gsd3s from my local garage for £400 fitted!!

GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC TYRE
Combining our revolutionary Active Cornergrip Technology and Racing Compound derivatives, the pressure is evenly distributed when cornering at high speeds, meaning more contact patch grips the road more of the time

Asymmetric Performance table
Comfort 5 * * * * *
Dry Road 5 * * * * *
Mileage 4 * * * *
Speed 5 * * * * *
Wet Road 5 * * * * *

GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 GSD3
Derived directly from Goodyear's Formula 1 racing tyre technology - the awesome Eagle F1 GS-D3 utilises the oneTRED design of a racing slick and a unique V-TRED pattern to deliver the most exhilarating driving experience on the planet.

GSD3 Performance table
Comfort 4 * * * *
Dry Road 5 * * * * *
Mileage 4 * * * *
Speed 5 * * * * *
Wet Road 4 * * * *

Just some info i got from there website.. Sounds like the asymmetric tyre has a different tread so it flexes better through corners.. overrall ratings are better than the gsd3.
