Roof lining
« on: 07 April 2008, 12:38 »
My roof lining suddenly just fell off at the back near the boot, all the way across. So when i look out the rear view mirror all i can see is a flap of cloth.
I have tried unclipping the trim along the boot and putting the cloth back, but it just falls down again within a few mins.
Has anyone else had similar issues, and can suggest a fabric glue or something to get it back in place properly.

Cheers

do a search, this is very common!

personally i used evostick contact adhesive, it sticks well but warps the headlining, it now looks all crinkled.

i also tried carpet spray glue, it holds but not for long - i.e. when it gets hot it peels away again. plus its messy!

i'd try asking a car upholsterer...

next time i might use a staple gun

I don't think a semi will give the same results
