poly bushes

i have been told I need some new bushes for my front suspension, I have been told to buy a set of polyurethane bushes for the front and rear instead as the rubber ones are sh!te.

Is this true? If it is i'd rather spend more on decent ones that last, only want the best for the old gal.

depends what you want from the car really, the rubber ones are only sh!t when they are 10 years old and perished lol, brand new ones are fine. if your into your spirited driving then poly bushes are great, they are also easier to install than rubber ones, but are a lot harder obviously.
