1.8t gti problem

hi everyone im fairly new to the forum and thought id introduce myself im rich and ive just bought an 02 golf gti in silver aum lump with 37000 miles on it and and i absoluteley love it.

theres a problem with it sometimes when cold it will misfire/judder slightly when at idle there is no engine management light come on and it doesnt do it while driving,and also when giving it the berrys as you do lol it comes on boost then the boost drops off it runs n/a for a bit then the boost surges back in.
just wonder if anyone can shed any light on the matter i havent plugged it into vagcom yet but im going to be getting it in the near future.

hi rich, this sounds similar to my 1.8T issue that I had before xmas.

after 3 mobile tuners looking at it, an independent garage looking at it and a VAGCOM check, I took it to my local dealer, they sorted it straight away (costly but worth it)

turned out to be the coils, but link up to VAGCOM and see what the results are.
