Mk3 16v Front brake pads
« on: 30 March 2008, 12:46 »
Simple one for you guys, i hope!
Need some new front brake pads for my 96 Mk3 16v, went to my local 'bennetts' store to get some and was told that there are 3 different types, all with different shapes, and was also told that with out knowing what i had on the car, whichever one i bought would of been the wrong one. Thanks for the help guys!! So i was wondering if any of you guys knew what the standard type of pad was on the car. Ive had it about 5 years and have never changed the any pads on it.
Thanks in advance!

PS I do have a pic but can't get it on the post

Take one of them off and get a mate to take you to the local autofactor

Go to Eurocarparts or GSF, they will give the right pads by using car reg.

Thanks guys, managed to get hold of some.

Does anyone know if the front disc size on the 16v is 288 or 280?  :undecided:
