well just got back. bit of a dissapointment to be honest.  one of the co-owners of der panza couldnt make it in the end so that was a bummer. we had the whole track for the golf and my mx5 which was pretty cool although its always nice to have something to chase!

it all started pretty well. the golf was running sweet and the mazda felt quite secure on track.

swapping from golf to mazda was a bit strange and i kept taking some odd lines in the golf expecting the back end to break away.

c8dhc(forum member) turned up and i took him out for a couple of laps but i really wasnt on it so i let my mate take him out. sadly he lost it on one of the bends and drove sideways up an embankment ripping off the fuel pump in the process. he sends his apologies to dan. the truith is he's usually a really well composed driver but these things happen.

couldnt locate a new pump so spent the rest of the day going sideways in the mx5. i'll get some pics up soon.

the bank my mate went up, nearly rolling. you can see his tyre mark. it was about a metre tall and at a 45 degree angle. glad i wasnt in the car!

Sounds like you had a good day despite the mishap up the hill. Glad no-one was hurt.

Judging by the first picture it looks like he was giving it some!!

Cheers

Paul

I wondered if you had any pics of 'the bank' as I never got to go back and have a look.

I have warned the subaru guys to go steady up that end tomorrow as that bend is getting it bit rough/pot-holey!

Great day at Blyton.

Rained in the afternoon (which was interesting on those cut slicks!)

Had a few games of cat and mouse with a mk1 running 16v lump:

Nice flaps!

Seeing those pics is enough to kick me back off here and into the workshop right now to continue getting mine fit
