Silly fuel pump question
« on: 28 February 2008, 00:42 »
About 6 months ago i had a problem with the mk1, I took it to a garage that id never used before and they said to get it started i needed a new fuel pump.

I had the work done and thought everything was fine.

Recently had the exhaust checked and the guy found the fuel pump hanging off!

I said i had only had the fuel pump fitted not long ago.

He said this is an old fuel pump

went home and checked reciepts which stated he had fit a new fuel pump £90 for the part then £110 labour

have i been done over? what can i do?

thanks

well when the guy says its hanging off you get a photo, or you get back in teh car get your recipt and go back tothe garage that fitted it...

even possibly ringing them frm the garage you are at then and say i coming round...
