B pillar leak.
« on: 10 March 2008, 10:12 »
Got a rain water leak on the passenger side B pillar. I've seen it dripping out from just under the seat belt height adjuster. I tried to take the trim off but couldn't work out how to remove it :embarassed:

Where can this water be coming from and anybody else had this? Done a search but not found anything. Have also checked the sunroof but nothing obvious there.

Cheers for any help.

once the seat-belt has been removed (17mm bolt), the trim is just clipped on!just try and get a trim tool or your fingers under the edge and prise it off-it feels quite dodgy, as if you are goin to break it but it should be fine!Dont know about the leak though, sorry. maybe some of the guttering is blocked around the door frame?

I couldn't unclip the trim because the height adjuster slider stopped it coming off. I couldn't see how to get that off. I did try forcing it briefly but surely that can't be right?

to take the b-pillar trim off you have to un bolt the seat belt then there should be a screw right down near where the pillar meets the door card. then you have to lift it up and out.
