Anyone have any ideas bout which is the best oil, sparkplugs etc to use for a general service to a 1.8t agu  2000 reg with 52k on the clock? Whos used wat etc? Cheers  :smiley:

no my mechanic is doin it all gettin timing belt done 2, just wanna put the best stuff in ya know yourself

Oil gtx magnatec 5w /40 or 10/40 will be fine (depends how tight you are :grin:)

Oil filter from dealers £5.42 IIRC for genuine part!!!

Spark plugs as kke says get from halfourds (NGK) as thay are the same part as the vw dealers use- but more than half the price!!

Air filter get yourself a pipercross panal filter and never buy another one again!!
