Hi there guys... any help would be good.... My girlfriends mum has a 2000 W reg golf 1.6 cabriolet (mk4 front end but moslty mk3 bits)...

When she turns the key to unlock it.. some of the windows go down... sometimes wont go back up for ages!

and i think now she has to get the passenger side cos her locks staying down...

The cars 200 miles away, but just what shes said to me on the phone...

basically the cars electrics are messing up with the central locking....

Maybe associated with the closure system, mine puts all the windows up if I hold the key turned when I lock it. I think it puts them all down if I hold the key when unlocking it. She could be holding the key for a split second after turning it, instead of just turning and letting go when unlocking it?

Just an idea?!

hmmm thanks guys...

I'll ask her if shes holding it for too long....

Although I doubt it because I think she bought the car from new so has had it ages and its only recently playing up.
