As above really, after all the parts fitted to this pile of cack its back to playing up again!! cutting out when on throttling off! emission light now comes on could this be the lambda sensor? i replaced the front one on the down pipe but not the one on the cat.

Just to highlight whats been done:

New MAF
Cleaned throttle body
new ecu relay
new plugs
new leads
Vagcom'd and lambda sensor was showing fault.
new front lambda
Everything running fine (obivously spoke to soon) :sad:

Will get it on vagcom tonight to see what else it says, but any further advice gratefully recieved.

Will do mate, but just to keep you all informed this is the results of the scan:

No faults!!! :shocked:

But is it scanning correctly?

Ignition on no faults, engine running no faults, disconect MAF won run so ignition on no faults.
Idle at 750 with a definate rough patch every so often.
So i'm thinking Vag-com not working even though it goes through the motions i mean with the MAF unplugged it should show an error right?


More to follow.

(Now where did i put that can of fuel  :evil:)

Where did you get your "new" maf from mate - what make?

Its a BOSCH exchange unit comes complete with body, I think it was £45+vat from PCS at Clay Cross Derbyshire.

Oh ok cool. Its just ive heard a lot about cheap ones not working very well.
