Hi All,
had to have a diag. ran on my 1.8 gti mk4 1999, due to an abs fault. The guy claimed that the whole controller was fooked but i`m not sure to be honest. Code was 18259:missing message from controller.
Could this missing message be a relay or wiring problem in the first instance rather than totally gone.....?

well guys sorted it myself of a sort. Abs pump unit is fine (saved mega money) seems the incar fuse was loose and now diag shows as front left sensor...well happy.!!
