Constructive day? Im not sure if it is
« on: 12 February 2008, 13:22 »
So as you may or may not know, i had a smal hole about the size of a 5pence peice of rust on my sill, ages ago i sorted it and primed it, but never sprayed it, so today i have sanded it back again, and re primed it. But being a bit sand happy, and also a bit worried the paint will look out of place, ive ended up snading and priming the WHOLE sill...... good idea? not sure.

Pic so far.

also another must, although maybe too late now, you would be far better off masking the whole door opening up with newspaper, coz you will get off spray on your interior no matter how carefull u are if not...

if that makes sense to you, been their and done this with my old escort runner which was a constant battle with rust and small bodywork repairs

Well, i was bored as, and i didnt do the best job in the world, but its all sprayed now, and with some t-cut

Its near impossible to see where the rust was! Looks near pefect, few months to wear in and you wont notice with a magnifing glass.

And yes, it was FREEZIN cold, but before it was white primer, and it annoyed me  :smug:
