I've been brousing around for ways to richen up the fuel system. A friend of mine said that he remembers a way to richen up the mixture at full throttle and not arcross the board. This is sounding more up the alley that I've been looking for. Could one of you lads point me to a site that has this diagram of this. I'm wanting to do this this weekend and I've got help with someone whos good with electric systems.
P.S he wants a piece of my GTI and I'd like to make my point to him. 16v 1.8 mk2

The lambda or to give its correct VW name, the oxygen sensor does not have a switch on it! Its purely a sensor that sends information to the ECU.
Listening to mates down the pub eh?

Naa, accually A fellow from the local vw bone yard was saying that he and his brother did it to his Rocco and it helped on the upper Rs. So truly to get the extra ponys by adding more fuel to the whole system across the rev range?? What I'm looking for is to richen the mixture in upper rpm and not lower revs around town. Where I live there is a lot of traffic lights & thus the extra fuel would load up the plugs. Is it possible to do what I'm looking for and is it a realistic option?

Well all I can tell you is there is no switch in the system. You can go for a remap which does what you want.

I've wanted to do the wur since the majority is pointing to this little lovely piece, How ever I've looked in the Bentley for the wur and I'm unable to locate it in the engine compartment or in the book. Is ther a different name for this little beast. A picture of were it is located would be tits, along with a arrow or section in the manual. Cheers :embarassed:
