If it was a Cat D write off then the cost of repair was deemed to be more than 60% but less than 100% of the cars value. I doubt it was just a wing and a door.

Doesn't mean the car is not roadworthy but will have implications when you come to insure the car. I would ask for all the repair details and check it with HPI to confirm.

its what i thought realy.  Just thinking that i could get a bargain.

Ive never had so much trouble finding the right car, every single one seems to be a compromise in some way   Then, just as i think 'sod it, thats the one' it gets sold!!

Oh well, the search continues................................

My father deals in Cat D motorbikes. I have seen some bikes that have needed less than 100 quid to fix, however i have seen bikes Cat D that have taken thousands spent on them to make them decent. It seems to be the labour costs that influence if the car has been written offwe all know how much some garages can charge. If you take a minor repair takes between 15-20 man hours you can see how the labour bill stacks up before you add parts. If your interested make sure you get to see the receipts for the repair and even take get a engineers report done on the car for extra piece of mind.
