Lights left on warning...

Is mine the only mk4 that does not have the buzzer sound when the lights are left on and the keys are taken out? 

I only ask because my mk3 16v had it and the 4mo does'nt.....

it should buzz; do you have problems with your door locks etc as i believe the buzzer works off the door lock modules

Mine buzzes and it is/was a base model.

Yup, mine buzzes too.

Maybe previous owner got sick of it and killed it.

Do your interiour lights work on the door?

mine used to buzz then stop workin for about a month but couldnt be assed to look at it, but now its an intermitant fault, most of the time it works but some times dont. I av trouble with my door locks so as rhyso said it could be somthin to do with the lock.

It has never buzzed since i have had the car (1 year) and all the doors/boot unlock and lock fine each time....(VW setting)

VAGcom stated that there was a fault with the alarm (intermittent) which prob explaines why just the hazards just flash and no horn beep when activated.....?

I have reset it and turned on horn beep to 1.........but still no change

Mine makes the kinda of sound a jet fighter plane pilot would hear if someone had a missile lock on him.
