i found mine on ebay!

beware of ebay though......for christs sake make sure you go have a look at it before you buy. i checked out a couple of right old dogs on there and the discriptions were far from acurate.

but hey....even if you do bid and win the car, if it isnt as discribed then your within ya rights to walk away anyway.

ITS A TRAP!

Bought mine on ebay as well, it must be 'the' place for red golf GTi's - although you guys got more doors than me???

I am considering selling it now though after almost a year, they really are great cars and it sailed through the MOT, I just don't really use it that much at the moment and could do without the added expense.  Only does 1.5 miles a day at the moment and on some days it would be quicker to walk!

Would probably sell it for what I paid for it.

mate i had a rover 216 gsi twin cam 16v 110 bhp iirc  not that long ago b4 my last 3 golfs was nowhere near as fast as my gti 8v 112bhp mk2

and the rover never put a smile on my face (added that to stop being slagged off)no serious
however the golf always peels a smile on my young mush

I paid £750 for mine... though was the first decent car for under £1000 that I found (wasn't only looking at VWs either). Got it in a pretty good condition too...

my last one before "der panza" was a 160 quid ebay special.  had long mot and no tax and was miles away but in very good nick. just needed a drivers door to make good. even the interior was good
