front grill
« on: 16 December 2007, 23:15 »
hi all,

wondering what everyone has got and what everyone thinks about different ideas about the front grill on the mk4

been debating changing the grill to a de-badged one for a little while but can't decide if i want to or not, been looking at both the standard grill de-badged and also the mesh grill replacments, anyone got either of these installed?

some pics of them would be great if possible, somedays i think they look alot nicer and then others think they're nothing special

can anyone photoshop the different grills onto a pic of my mk4 if i take one?
a work in progress......someday i might think i'm happy with a car....maybe

so far: 40mm Gmax lowering kit, upper and lower S3 strut braces, pipercross panel filter, Smoothed air box and 18" Audi R8 reps

i just bought a debadge grille and painted it....... was a right ball ache to fit! well my standard grille broke trying to get it off!
they send u inserts for your bonnet and bumper to fill in the gaps left from the previous badge.......... but these dont fit!! its Bo**ox!

if i were u mate, id leave the standard one on! its alot less hassle!

ive got a debadged one they look good but the fill ins stand out a bit, mine isnt too bad cause the bra i have on covers the bonnet recess, if you colour coded your badge it'd look more subtle and is easy and cheap to do

watch the sump ask guy he went over a some toilet paper and it carcked!!!!

lol! ive literally just repainted my debadge grill, coz i put plastic prime ron last time i did it and it reacted wiv the cellulose paint! :embarassed: :embarassed:

BUT....... iv just been messing wiv my original grille......... i cut the extra bits off the top and bottom of the badge where it would normally sit in the recess, and it looks like it sits behind the bumper and grille! lol! its hard 2 explain! but looks pretty cool, but not for me!

Kustom airbrushing all the way im afraid!
