Heater fan??

My heater fan seems to have packed up and now works now and again but after a while packs up with a knocking whinin noise, do i need a new fan, or motor or wot??

get the whole unit off ebay for about £40

mine was temperamental when the switch behind the dial was breaking down?! bad connection mine was!

i also replaced the whole unit eventually... easy enough.. although i couldn't tell you how to fit it as i had a garage do it as i couldn't figure it. we took the old one out of a dismantled car we were stripping!!

I had this, open the bonnet and take the plastic scuttle tray off.  Under hewre you'll see the top of the blower motor covered with a mesh grill.  Take the mesh grill off, and set the blower to high, spray WD40 at the bearings till the squeely noise stops

Mine had totally siezed solid, but after lots of pushing, prodding and spraying it runs great and is nice n quiet

my basket is half knacered.. and covered in overspray!

look like a crummy chip basket you get in greasy diners!!
