Small/Big Bumper indicator differences

Im looking to get some smoked front indicators but there are more big bumper sets than small bumper ones. What is the difference as in the pics they look the same. Ive never seen a big bumper golf in the flesh so cant see if they are longer or anything

Not gonna buy big bumpers and try to mod them btw just wondering the difference :embarassed:

isnt it that the small ones are mounted into the bumper iron, and the big bumpers are mounted into the bumper plastic, not sure if they are interchangable..

not sure if thats right tbh, but hey ho  one more for my post count!

If you want smoked indicators I'd spraypaint em. Some people may think it's ghetto, but even if I had the choice between my sprayed ones and "proper" ones I'd take the ones I have - did them with the same acryllic bumper paint I used on my bumpers and they look like part of the bumper. Let through plenty of light too.

If you do go ghetto and spray em yourself, I'd suggest doing layered coats.
But tbh if they are not clear it might make them look too ghetto spraying orange ones...

I sprayed my rears and they dont look too ghetto

Aparently its an MOT fail if you spray them too dark though
