I'm wanting to replace the brake hoses on my mk2 8v GTi with Goodridge ones but I have a query about the removal
I've done some searching but I can't find the info I'm after

I believe you don't have to drain the system to replace the hoses and I don't particularly want to either, which leads me on the my question

Its a bit of a silly question but
Once you remove the flexi hose attached to the caliper from the rigid hose how do you stop the fluid from gushing out of the rigid pipe?
I just don't want to be in the process of removing the hoses and then have fluid gushing out all over me and air getting into the master cylinder and stuff.
Obviously I'll bleed the brakes after but I just want to know how to stop the loss of fluid from the rigid pipe during the the hose replacing process?
Thanks in advance for answering my n00b question
