hes wondering why, for health and safty reasons the VW garage wont give him information that in most cases the mechanics have trained on for years to do, i worked for vauxhall for 5 years and got people in asking questions about things they were working on... now why would I tell someone i didnt know how to do something that could potentualy lead to them breaking somthing (blaming me) hurting themself (blaming me)... aye fair enough the would sign somthing but balls to that, why have main dealers or garages at all if you think you can just ask how to do it....

Buy a Haynes manual dude!! or look on line, dealership tech are not allowed to do this as they can lose there job! i got fook for fitting a wiper blade to a ladys car 3 mins.... not the point we just cant, get over it and realise, people are busy enough

Rant done, as for your hacking the VW system, i wouldnt advise you to.......

I think I'm fairly lucky, the dealership nearest me had a very helpful parts man.
Even threw in a free washer for the sump plug

And they kept apologising to me when I was waiting for him.

Suppose its different wherever you go really

My dealers is awesome, I get A1 service, tech help, discount, coffee, biscuits (if I'm good) and even the odd freebie.

Matey at the top wont be able to use his dealers login tho as they use a dongle that is plugged in the PC to activate it all.  :embarassed: :embarassed:
