previous experience of doing the manifold(s) on my Driver is that to get to all of the bolts on the exhaust manifold, the inlet needs to be off!removing the carb is simple enough, disconnect everything either labelling it or remembering where it all goes!earths, vac pipes etc. and then the bolts in the bottom of it and lift it out and the inlet isn't too hard to do as nothing should be seized but actually finding the holes is sometimes tricky, you'll need a long allen key to reach them and then, once thats off you can get to the upper bolts on the exhaust mani and the bottom ones will need to be got at from under the car. All i can say is enjoy!hope this has helped!

you can leave the carb ontop if you want. this is an arse of a job getting to the allen bolts is very tricky, dont round them off!

Remember doing this job the first time - it was like a whole new world of pain!

There's one bolt in particular that you need a ridiculously long allen key/bit to get to.  I used a bit and a 1/4" drive socket and long extension to get mine undone, as my allen keys weren't long enough.

I mirror will help you, too.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
