Standard Head unit removal

How do you get the standard golf headunit out of a MArk 4 1.8T???

Do you need a special tool or key??

Have all my ICE from my other motor and it needs installing into me Golf ASAP am missing the bangin Drum & BAss!!

Please Help!

think you can buy keys from like halfords for about ?3, if not get an old credit card or similar, and cut ti length ways into strips youll see a sloot on each side of the head unit, push the strips into there and it should do the same as the key would, then stick you finger in the tap hole and extract the unit!!, easy!!

Sweet!! Nice one m8 I will try that later today after I have finished work!!

Do you know off hand if it is hard to run the autochanger lead through the golf??  :-[

easy matey i ran one from the compartment in the boot through to the dash in about 15mins, i went down the passenger side unclipped trim/folded carpet back and tucked her in, mind u mines a 3dr if you have a 5 may be more time consuming??
