Got a car at last .....

Hi everyone,
                     Got a car at last. I got it yesterday a nice mk3 metallic blue vr6 5 door. It?s a 1993 with full service history (mostly vw) with 101,000 miles on the clock. With bbs alloy wheels. So looks like you are going to hear a lot from me in the nexted few months.
I have a couple of little probs to get sorted out but overall I am happy.
I used to have a mk2 16v and that was quick but my god it can move I LOVE IT . Back to my probs passenger side window doz not work but if I try with the driver side button you can hear something going on anyone got a idea? How I can fix this and is it hard to do. The brakes seem crap no feel to them and a bit scary what is the best way to get them back to normal, new discs and pads???
