Well, I've been out today and deliberately done some different set offs.

Incline in manual,sport and drive
Decline in manual, sport and drive
on the flat in manual, sport and drive

Done both hard set offs and normal set offs of all the above.

Still cannot induce ANY kangarooing. It's not as if I can't recognise it as I had the kangaroo map in my last Golf TDI DSG.

So either there is something wrong with mine and I need to have the internal kangaroo remap fitted or there is something wrong with those that kangaroo....and I know what my money is on!
Hurdy, I appreciate you taking the time to try your car out to see whether it has any of the aforementioned issues, however mine is fine most of the time and only ever does the slight kangaroo effect after its been driven for well over an hour, really warmed up and when stuck in traffic between 5-10mph, in drive mode only and only when accelerating gradually from 5mph upto 10mph, nightmare trying replicate, will have to find a decent dealer about an hour away from Bournemouth, so that it will replicate the problem! :undecided:

I know it can be sorted and eventually after having either a reflash of software or a new dsg control unit, it will be perfect

Just a bit of a shame after only 2k miles,....still though think it's the best car I've ever owned!!!!

Just a thought....

Wont go into long stories but yesterday we sat in a car park with the manual looking something up. And I noticed that in the manual it says something about a hill incline helper thing. (Hill assist for pulling off on the hill which apparently runs 24/7)

you dont think that might be the reason? Maybe the computer is buggering it up?
Just an idea. Somebody mentioned the car studdering on uphills.

Just booked it in with VW Wolsey Ipswich for next Wednesday.  They offered to take it in or have an initial drive about with the Master Tech - I opted for the latter purely because I can show him exactly what the effect is and also don't want it driven when I am not around    otherwise I might come back to a car with 2 bald front tyres and an average mpg of 4 over 20 miles
illyun, any news on your trip to the dealers

I took mine in to two differnet dealers and both said the same, no fault found, can't reprogram as has latest software and they also showed me an internal news bulletin from VW claiming that some cars will suffer from this and not to worry as it is perfectly normal

Would be interested to hear what your dealer said?
