advice needed!!! Nissan 350z V VW Golf GTI

Thanks for the advice ppl. Practicality isnt an issue at all as i am only 22 and i am starting work as a pharmacist so dont need to carry much stuff around. residuals were mentioned earlier about the golfs being better, i did however go into a nissan showroom and the dealer was sayin that the 350z has the 2nd best residuals of cars on sale today with the mini in first. anyone know whether this is tru?

Best way to be sure about this is to get on www.autotrader.co.uk and see if a 1/2 yr old 350z is fetching the kind of price you would expect for your car after that period. simple
