Does anyone know whether...........
1. if a cars fitted with a mid-line comp ,ie(Passat) will the MFD 2 sat nav still work if ones fitted.Is a new shark fin aerial needed aswell
2. Multi-function wheel is possible to retro fit
3. Is it possible to fit High-line comp if  :sick: mid line is installed.

1. yep will do; just won't have the directions in front of you
2. yeah but a pig of a job
3. like 2 but even worse lol; apparently its not as easy as it was in the MKIV  :undecided: there was a thread not so long ago on it

1 Do you mean getting the route instructions up on the highline screen?

2. You can retrofit the wheel and Highline, if you have the time/skill and can remember where to plug everything back in. Will need VAGCOM to get everything working or the local stealer will sort for a fee more than likely.

No i was gonna let my vw dealer fit those bits if the car they find hasnt got any of those options already fitted.Will know on Friday what they have found. cheers for your help guys

highline computer will mean new clocks; new clocks will equal at least £300 if not more; plus an hour or two labour to remove and recode.

you'll be better off sourcing a 2nd hand set and getting someone from here or ukmkivs to recode your clocks.  if you went that route you'd need the SKC code of the 2nd hand set of clocks.

Ask for the MFSW option as well - link here for retrofit is not for the faint hearted :shocked:
