g60 arches

Hi I was wondering how easy it would be to get g60 arches put on because at the moment im running on 17's and i'm getting a lot of scrubbing.  I have the car going in to a bodyshop soon anyway to have the rear panel replaced because the arch is soo rusty thats its better just to replace the lot.  A mate's gonna do it for ?350 thats including panel, paint, and all labour - does this sound like a good price?  Also how much do you reckon it would cost t o get all the arches like g60 style?  Is it just  amatter of cutting part of the metal off and sticking the g60 trim over or is it more difficult than that?

i believe these arches are just the plastic trim and attach in the same way as normal arches, because there fatter u can the have ur arches rolled more for clearance, hope this is right and helps

that's what I understood. someone else told me they attach differently at the top. if you roll the arches with standard arches you won't get any rubbing. Also if you replace the springs and get the 16v ones they're slightly stiffer to cope with the extra weight. either way you'll have to silaflex the tops to the wings as you'll loose the rivet points when you fold back the lip

Thats right,they have to be bonded at the top,im looking at one now as i have just bought a set from vw for mine.They were only 2 quid more than ones from gpc(cost 27 quid each from vw)You will need to cut the bit off the inside of the arch that would slot into a genuine g60 wing

G60 arches are ?85 for all corners from GPC, Genuine ones.
