im currently building a track / strip car at the moment. i did consider using the mk3 16v GTi i have but decided against it as it was just too flabby and bloated, so instead i opted for a mk2 driver which will have a 2.0 16v motor running bike throttle bodies and a 100 shot of nitrous. :)

Just finished stripping my Mk3 16v to be used as a track car. 3 door non sunroof.
Shed about 80k in weight.
Coilovers fitted and lowered.
Bucket seats, harnesses fitted, front top strut brace.
Took it out at castle Combe Eurofest a couple of times to give it a shakedown, apart from a broken exhaust rubber there was no problems.
First full trackday booked for this Friday coming.
Cheers
Paul
