MK3 interchangeable with MK2

Any input welcome

I’ve got an 88 small bumper gti.

Right guys, there’s a breakers yard right near me with plenty of good quality MK3s

I find it really difficult to locate MK2s that haven't already been savaged by fellow MK2 scroungers

I know that there are some, but could someone tell me some of the interchangeable parts and cosmetics etc...

help much appreciated!

you can get a weighted shift rod from a mk3 and put it on your mk2, cant really think of anything else!

Arent the early springs / shocks compatible? wheras later ones have larger cups for the springs.
Also i would assume the hubs are similar on the 4 stud models.
