Dash clock question
« on: 25 September 2007, 23:08 »
This will be the first of many questions asked.

Does anyone know if the clocks in a mk 2 Driver (with the clock instead of a rev counter) are the 1 or 2 plug type?
I've seen a few on eBay but I'm unsure which type I will need.

I fancy changng the bulbs anyway and think the rev counter looks better than a huge clock.

If I remember right, if your car has the small hazard button on the steering wheel column cover, it'll be a one plug type.  If the hazard switch is on the dashboard, it'll be a two plug type.

There's loads of info in other threads, a search should bring a few results.

Cheers.

I guess I have the 1 plug type then.

I'll have a look around to comfirm this before I buy the wrong replacements.

My old ryder had the clock and only single plug

easiest way to check would be to take the lower part off the dash mouldings (not sure of name) - the bit with the stash hole and fuse box cover - and look up from there with a torch, with the two plugs one is white, the other black
