Hey guys, thanks v.much for advice on last question asked about refurbing my fcuked up wheels!! Just to recap....... there 17" and kirbed to sh1t by a lovely previous lady owner (probably heard the crunch and just kept on going... hav to post some pics, looks like they were cleaned with an angle-grinder) anyway as I say I'm only very new to the GTI scene and would apreciate any feedback on my thoughts (let me know if I'm talking crap) I was looking at powder baked wheels in a grey/anthracite colour????? The car is silver!! Would this make it look sh!t or would grey make the wheels look even smaller??? Thanks.

Not sure if they would look good or not but it would probably be cheaper to buy a set off ebay than get them coated, Ive seen several sets of Monza's redone in grey for about £200. You would probably get a set of 18's for little more too/

I was looking at buying 18" but I was told it isnt as comfortable to drive as the 17"?? I was gona buy a set of used 18" monzas till I saw them. The chump had them kirbed to bits and the back of them were square (pothole lover!!) he said they were genuine VW, I asked him why does it say "NOT ORIGINALS" stamped into the back?? (IDIOT) Gona have a look around ebay for a good set and check out prices. Cheers DUZ

If you want... You can post up a pic of your car side on and I can try Photoshop it for you?
I may actually have a pic on my pc somewhere of a silver GTI with those wheels though. Will look.

Mike

P.S- IF you post a pic of the car. Could I get a high Resolution shot please. Thanks
