mine failed on corrosion that i didn't know was there!! The wax strips they put on the inside of the arches covered the rust i had, he marked the areas with a crayon advised me and I took straight to my workshop and looked,

looked some more, peeeled back the wax strips, presto a right festering abundance of the stuff, soon got the grinder out and chopped off its head!!!! welded a bit of plate in its place, super job!

Had it not failed I would have never have seen it!!!

Testers seem to like to fail bearings on golfs too, maybe cause they know we drive fast so the wheel don't fall off
