leak by dizzy

fluid leak at bottom of dizzy looks like coolant taste like sh!t and feels greasy not losing any water or oil any idea what it is please  94 2 ltr gti 8 valve :undecided:

i would have thought oil from that area!  :undecided: might only be a small amount that you dont really notice!

I'n my haynes it says there is but it's a mk2 book not mk3 but I would have thought something like that was pretty consistent...I'm only guessing tho  :undecided:

Yea you will probably find it is oil,  Not much else it could be, and its quite possible its just the seals are worn out a bit.   

if its a very small amount, and not splatting about or causing a puddle i would leave it.
10 golfs and counting! 

Engine cranes = the ultimate tool to test the tensile strength of Everything you didn't disconnect!

thankyou just done 1000 mile round trip and there is no oil loss or water loss just the bit by the dizzy :smiley:
