You will obviously need the fuel pump/accumulator as well.

i would worry about brakes and chassis as well cos 1.3s are quite a lot different from 8v's. dizzie is yours digi or k jet? seems to me to many bits need swapping over, i would just but a gti, you could get a decent one for 1000 if you are prepared to look

You will need the engine, g/box, fuel system, manifolds, drive shafts, engine harness for the injection system, engine and g/box mounts, maybe the front subframe and front hubs for the brakes and cv joints :-\. I dont think its worth it. There was a later polo and seat that had a 1600 engine based on your block, if you want to do a swap thats the easiest way. (or buy a 8v gti ;)).
Steve.

Well, i suppose i should say my dad was the first owner. He bought it in 1988, i was a child. But obviously i've been in it with them since i was a child for the past, 14 years, then i acquired when he bought a mk4, so i've had it for two years. I remember going to get it with them, sooooo long ago!! Still looks like it did when he bought it, except for like the new GTI style grille!!! Still impressive though, as i remember all the things he's done to it, which isn't a lot, so thats probably why. Its good, as no one else has owned it, he knows everything that its had done, and knows everything about it really!

keep it as it is then and just buy a gti. probably cheaper as well and a lot less hassle ;)
