Hay Guys, I need a bit of advice please. I know we're not supposed to ask, but I really need an idea on this.
After the Mk4 was in the accident, I took it to the 'National Repair Center' in Plymouth as per my instructions from my Insurance company (The AA)
The damage was as follows:-
1. Drivers side door creased
2. Drivers side front wing creased
3. Drivers side wing mirror smashed
4. Front bumper smashed
5. Off side headlight brackets broken off
6. Bonnet won't open/close (possibly just the catch)
Now, the fella there said it would need to go on a jig to see if anything integral has been bent, so I knew it would get written off because of that alone

.
The car itself has:-
1. FULL VW service history with all the stamps.
2. 4 very clean unmarked alloys
3. Unmarked spotless interior.
4. 102,000 miles.
5. The rest of the body work was in 'above average' condition before the accident.
6. Its a 1.6SR 16v 5 door.
What can I expect the insurance (I'm fully comp with 10yrs N/C protected) to pay me for it? Once they have assessed the damage and agreed the price, will I have time to swap the wheels for some steelies with VW hubcaps, change my MK5 rear wiper arm, take my stereo and Genuine VW gear knob out, or, will I get penalized for doing that?
Any help/advice/price with this would be really appreciated.
Cheers in advance
Toby
