Hi there guys.

It was a normal Sunday afternoon and i had just finished cutting the grass for mum when my friend from Northwich who i know from uni text me saying he was going to E38.  I thought nice 1.  I knew what it was because throughout the last year at uni he would always have Performance VW or Golf+ lying around and i would read it on the bog (lol)

My girlfriend loves Beatles and i promised her that if we went to this show there would be some.  It was the only way i could get her to go!  We saw 1! lol.

Anway, basically i have always liked vw's but that weekend i 100% caught the bug!

And i have been on this site everyday since.  Well since Sunday lol

In the winter i will have 2k to play with after my student loan and grant comes through and i sell the 1.25 zetec 16v y-reg Fiesta i inherited from mum and i think its a MK3 GTI for me, the 16v.

Insurance shouldnt be that bad because i am 22 in 4 weeks and i have 3 years no-claims

Is there a dramatic difference between the 8v and 16v?  If so what?

Any way great forum and i am looking forward to the day I post the first pic of my Golf.

Keep up the good work.
