Driving into work tis morning and a knocking sound from bottom left hand corner of car.Can clearly hear it from a stop start, or if going slow and taking power off or power on the accelerator.Thought I heard a bit of a sound also a couple of weeks ago when at full lock when steering.Would I be right in saying its the CV JOINT???Thanks

Could well be, get that corner in the air and give everything a wiggle/twist shake and see what you can hear and where.

Could be ball joints too. I had a very alarming knocking sound which I had got myself convinced was the big end - thankfully not so!

if you can get the noise to appear by bouncin that corner, you can eliminate the cv joint, ill go with tie rod end first ( cheapest and very easy ) top mount is easy to and about 12.00 for a g60 uprate, if its cv, try washing out repacking first.
