280mm brake fitment

Will 280mm brakes fit under ats cups, Heard they dont? Mines runout model so got 256mm bkakes on as standard for 8v. On my last mk2 16v had to use my 16v calipers with 280mm set up as g60 caliper didnt fit under my bbs ra's.

this is intreasting, as i want to add 280MM brakes, but i dont want to lost my RA's.  does this meen i have to trim down my pads as the 280 disks are 2mm thicker, and keep the 16v calipers?  and obviously change the carriers and disk.

sorry for dragging this up AGAIN, i just need to be clear befor i spend my cash

Mk2 16v is off the road :(  Mk3 8v has taken its place :)
