Water leak near Fuse box

Afternoon............

Has any ever experienced a leak that comes down near the fuse box , i think its coming through the bonnet some how...

Can any1help..

open up your bonnet and have a look at the back left under that plastic cover. might have a rust hole. be brave and look

or it could be something simple like a missing grommet in the firewall, or you have got a leaky windshield, either by rust or a bad fit. or rust in the firewall caused by heat from the exhaust?  :o

i have just had the same problem and fixed it.
it was the bonnet release cable rubber seal.
(as VDUBGTI8V said, look in that area)
maybe worth a look to see if yours is ok.

i had that too - bonnet release cable - they look ok but water still gets in. I used silicant sealant - job done !

I had exactly the same leak a few years back on my previous golf. It turned out water was leaking round the blank panel fitted where the heater intake would be on a LHD model (this is found under your ecu). Quick line of silicone around the panel and jobs a good un.

Try your windscreen seal. Solved same problem in mine :)

Bonnet release cable grommet sounds good to me.

The plenum chamber drain rubbers get full of sh!t and the water builds up till it starts leaking in.
