2.0 16v conversion shopping - what else do i need
« on: 10 August 2007, 12:01 »
Righty, got a 2.0 16v block with kR head and cams. The block doesnt have a PAS pump but does have the bracket, so i will swap my pump over.

Which PAS belt do i use, kr or 9a?

Im using the 2.0 alternator, again, which belt?

theres already a new cambelt on the engine, but for future reference, would i use the 2.0 timing belt?

What type of spanner heads do i need to buy for the head bolts and for the driveshaft bolts?

Questions to be updated each time i get stuck

Anyone got any tips to help

I think you will find that the three belts you are using are the same on both engines,as for head bolts the tool you need is called a spline tool m12 and the drive shaft size is m8.Hope this information is helpful. Also when you change the engine use the inlet camshaft from the 1.8 for better response.
i was told the 020 rod box was supposed to be a strong box,how wrong are they 5 and counting on my mk2. Hopefully the quaiffe box will last.
